Booking a mobile wheelchair clean with Pure Wheelchairs is definitely a smart step towards ensuring a clean and comfortable experience for wheelchair users. But what happens after the booking is made?
Let us take you through the process and answer the common questions when booking a mobile cleaning service with us.
The Day of the Clean
On the day of your appointment, Kate, our cleaning superstar, and owner of Pure Wheelchairs will personally walk you through the cleaning process, ensuring that all your queries are answered. Our team at Pure Wheelchairs believes in building strong relationships with our clients, and we consider you an integral part of the Pure Wheelchairs family!
Preparing for the Clean
To ensure a smooth cleaning process, the chairs will need to be vacated for approximately 1.5 hours, allowing us to work our magic. In case you have multiple chairs, we will ask you which one you'd like to have cleaned first so you can use it again as soon as possible.
Setting Up and Safety
Once you're comfortably settled and the chair is vacated, the Pure Wheelchairs team will assess the work area and conduct a quick safety check, ideally within 15 metres of a power outlet and in an outdoor and under-covered area. This can include spaces like a carport, garage, verandah, balcony, or even a spacious bathroom. We can also work out of the back of our vehicle! To ensure safety, we might use caution cones around the cleaning area.
The Cleaning Process
Pure Wheelchairs employs a powerful steam machine to thoroughly clean the wheelchair. We will connect the machine to a power outlet using our own leads, initiating the cleaning process. Once completed, the chair is ready for immediate use, except in cases where some areas might be slightly damp.
If necessary, we will dry those areas using a hand dryer or fan before you can start using the chair again. Alternatively, we may suggest leaving the chair in front of a heater or fan for half an hour to expedite the drying process.
Finalising the Appointment
After the cleaning is done, our team will begin packing up. We will then send you or your plan manager an invoice, or claim costs back through the NDIA for Agency-Managed Clients. We strive to make the entire experience seamless so wheelchair users can focus on enjoying their freshly cleaned wheelchairs!
